I am working on one of the first community radio initiatives in Bangladesh. Once operational, this project will become a part of a mutystakeholder partnership of all telecenters of Bangladesh, Bangla entertainment radio websites, local and national NGOs and CSR partners.

:: "Pallibetar Mongla" The Voice from the Mangrove ::

"Pallibetar Mongla" is a Community Radio Station in the rural village-town Mongla, the coastal-mangrove area of Bangladesh. Though Mongla through its deep sea port and shrimp cultivation adds valuable input to the economy of the southern part of Bangladesh, the inhabitants, workers and the farmers working behind these progress are still deprived of the privileges of a better life.

Our community Radio has 5 focuses. Overall improvement of the lifestyle and health of the tribes from the largest mangrove forest Shundarban, workers and labors in Mongla Port, sex workers from Bania Shanta, the second largest red-light district in Bangladesh, Shrimp Farmers and weather forecasts and disaster management awareness building for the respective communities.

Well I shuld not start writing blogs unless I introduce my self properly! So, Here it is...

There are millions of individuals who work tirelessly to improve their career. They are the cornerstone of their society; there are also millions who chases their dreams, flourishes like a star or gets burnt out. I do not have it in me to become the first one. Nor do I pamper myself by saying I'm the second type.

I work to fulfill my roles as a well brought up second child of a conservative family. I work hard. To fulfill my dreams that I cherish for a new world, I try to give my inputs whenever possible.

I never let my dreams die down. I am neither a robot nor a revolutionary...I m a simple dreamer... I believe in working for my dream ... I believe in making a positive change through taking action... I believe in people's endless potentials... I believe in myself

p.s. i just opened this account...i'll tell you more about my works soon...

My interest areas are Children, Culture Identity, Art Media, Creativity, Environment and Peace
